Why CDI
How does CDI work? Why our approach is different and successful.
Diagnostic reagents and controls are typically custom formulations with a defined shelf life. CDI has developed a library of combinatorial ingredients that have broad applicability in stabilizing target analytes, thereby extending shelf life of these products. The application of CDI's library of combinatorial ingredients means a target match can be rapidly made to extend the dating of diagnostic reagents and controls using high throughput screening. This approach is fast and enables concurrent multi-parameter adjustments (i.e., combinatorial screening) to achieve shelf life extension.
This combinatorial approach invented by CDI is non-disruptive to production logistics and can substantially extend the shelf life of the diagnostic reagent(s).
By screening with CDI's library of compounds and using our proprietary assays, CDI can quickly determine many useful reagents attributes, including protease inhibition, protein denaturation, singlet oxygen attack, all of which have been shown to adversely affect the stability dating of target reagents. Once the combinatorial target is identified, CDI refines the ingredient formulation to maximize its efficacy in extending stability dating.
